What We Do
Clinical Outcomes Driven by Local, Engaged Providers
A key differentiator for Southeast Emergency Partners is our commitment to remaining a strong physician-led team. Each of our physicians has the opportunity to participate in the decision-making processes and management of the group. This structure creates several advantages which allow us to create a practice designed for long-term success.
This approach to emergency medicine management reinvigorates and reengages the physician team. Being part of a group with the common goal of improving patient and developing process improvement solutions inspires pride in the product our team delivers. Our team has confidence and satisfaction knowing that they are fully supported by their colleagues and clinical leadership.
What We Provide at Southeast Emergency Partners
Local Medical Directors
Onsite leadership from our medical directors is critical to keeping our providers connected, engaged, and accountable. Our medical directors set the tone and culture at their site by being active leaders and modeling our core values in every interaction – whether with a patient, family member, hospital staff member, or coworker. They hold providers accountable for adhering to and demonstrating our core values in their everyday practice.
Tele-Triage
SEP utilizes tablets and doxy.me, a free and secure service, to communicate with clinical staff, who may be located remotely, using desktop computers to provide services across multiple facility locations. A robust tele-triage service can be implemented with SEP’s expertise with limited overhead hospital expense and high returns in terms of increasing clinician productivity, reducing nursing staff workload, and increasing patient satisfaction.
FSED Management
SEP’s leadership team is adept at starting new community healthcare programs and developing and building new emergency department operations. Most recently overseeing the construction of Bravera Health system’s FSED, SEP leadership was involved discussion surrounding every stage of the facility construction and development – from the building plans to the equipment.
Quality Programs
Our quality management programs are multidimensional, relying on clinical guidelines and evidence-based medicine, technology, continuous learning, and feedback as well as consistent communication to create an impact. We have implemented an analytics platform based on the Six Sigma DMAIC (define, measure, analyze, improve, control) model that consists of data visualization, process analysis, and operational improvement.
EMR Integration
We support training and administrative time needed to effectively use your EMR system. Our clinicians facilitate the flow of patients through the emergency department, from coordinating with ambulance services to supporting appropriate hospital admissions, coding, and charge entries. The EMR system is crucial to recording acuity levels, tracking times and patient status. Integrating your hospital’s EMR with out data-analytics platform, we can offer additional real-time data to support organizational outcomes.
Compliance
We utilize ongoing professional practice evaluation (OPPE) and focused professional practice evaluation (FPPE) processes to provide consistent, provider-specific feedback include both quantitative and qualitative data. With a highly organized management team and consistent reliable dashboards, clinicians can focus their efforts on improving processes that result in better quality patient care.
Professional Recruitment
We understand the importance of a stable and committed emergency medicine group who has the knowledge of and a relationship with the hospitals, citizens, and leaders of the local community. SEP has the support of national dedicated recruiters who are familiar with the local region but with the expertise and resources to recruit nationally. When warranted, our team can draw from these resources to ensure the most effective recruiting tactics are utilized to build the local group.
Nurse Collaboration
We meet regularly with physicians, nursing, and hospital management to maximize the alignment of all parties. Through cohesive team building and cross-department meetings, we share issues and solutions to develop and implement performance improvement strategies that focus on quality, safety, and evidence-based care for our patients. Regular communication allows us to establish and achieve a transparent review of key performance and quality indicators with the expectation to succeed.
