Over the last few years, the scrutiny of emergency departments has grown intense. Billing practices, utilization of resources, overall cost, and patient experience have been topics of debate and concern. With so many competing priorities, countless emergency medicine clinicians struggle to prioritize and often lack the resources to respond, leaving many feeling disconnected from the hospitals in which they treat patients.
Our goal at Southeast Emergency Partners (SEP) is to build a team where the clinicians embody the hospital’s mission and values. Driven by our belief that “medicine is local,” our teams are committed and motivated to build a long-term partnership with our hospital partners and our local communities.
We know that emergency medicine is not a “one size fits all” solution.
At Southeast Emergency Partners, we build strong, local, physician-led teams who have real ownership in the practice. This model drives alignment with goals and attracts clinicians who place a high value on continuity and quality of care.
By developing a solid local group dedicated to the community in which they reside, we facilitate an environment where the clinicians are part of the fabric of the hospital and its objectives.
We believe an optimal emergency department structure is comprised of engaged physicians who have autonomous local clinical control, opportunities for physician partnership and equity, and access to national business resources.
